WHO
ARE
WE

The National Cycling Academy Forum (NCAF) is a South African non-profit company (NPC) dedicated to transforming the cycling landscape by creating access, opportunity, and equity for cyclists in township and rural communities

Founded in 2016 and formally incorporated in 2019, NCAF serves as a national coordinating body for a growing network of cycling academies, clubs, and development partners across the country. The organisation was established in response to the historical exclusion and underrepresentation of black cyclists in the sport, driven largely by systemic barriers such as cost, lack of infrastructure, and limited access to development pathways.

Today, NCAF operates nationally through provincial affiliates, supporting a network of over 45 cycling academies, and continues to build structured pathways from grassroots participation to elite performance.
